River District Logo

The River District is an up-and-coming neighbourhood in the heart of London, Ontario — a vibrant area rich with character, culture, and community. The client approached me with a clear but exciting ask: create an illustrated-style logo that incorporates recognizable downtown landmarks and captures the energy of the Thames River that flows through the district.

The final design features a bold, block-style illustration that weaves together architectural icons — including the Canada Life Place, Covent Garden Market and Museum London — alongside stylized river elements, trees, and birds to reflect the area's natural and urban balance.

Using a limited two-color primary palette and clean, geometric shapes, the logo is both contemporary and approachable. It’s designed to scale well across signage, merch, and digital platforms — making it a strong, versatile identity mark for a growing part of the city.
